From our well-known attractions to our hidden gems, the Fraser Valley is full of fun things to do for the whole family! Whether you’re into staying active in the great outdoors, or prefer having a ‘parents-only’ day indulging in a local sweet treat on a sun-filled patio – we’ve got something for you.
Known as ‘tulip time’, springtime in the Fraser Valley is second to none – these cheerful, colourful bulbs welcome you wherever you go, and our mild climate encourages early buds to bloom on our fruit trees.
We love driving past the lush, green pastures of our local farms – slow down, and you might even get a friendly wave!
Although there could be an entire list of great things to check out this season, here are some of our top favourites.
Twilight Drive-In Theatre
There’s nothing like a night at the drive-in! Proudly Metro Vancouver’s ONLY drive-in theatre, this venue is a true gem unique to the Fraser Valley. Rain or shine, the movies play – making it a great option for those spring showers as we head into the warmer months. The movies will typically start at dusk (no earlier than 7:30PM), and you can stay for as many movies as you want on the same night you come – for the same price!!!
Pssst… keep an eye out for team member, Lynn Blendheim as she lights up the stage during the advertisements!
The 5K Foam Fest Abbotsford
If you have a sense of adventure, and you’re not afraid of getting a little foamy or muddy – this race could be the one for you! Boasting some of the coolest obstacles known to these kind of races (like one of the world’s largest inflatable water slides) combined with 2.5 million cubic feet of foam, you’re sure to have a MEMORABLE day!
Tickets are now just $65, and with that is included your finishers medal, race bib, a beach towel, your gear check, and much more! FREE photos (photographer on site) to capture all the fun, kid’s zone, beer garden and vendor village. This is not just a race – it’s a festival!

Head Back in Time at Historic Stewart Farm
Learn about what life was like for Surrey’s families circa 1900 at this family-friendly site! You can expect costumed staff, delicious fresh baking (true to the times) and beautiful grounds with picturesque water views. The farmhouse is open during select hours (see website for more info) but the public is always welcome to tour the grounds. Be sure to take in the heirloom garden and the special teas held on the grounds.
Take a Hike!
There’s no healthier way to enjoy the abundance of natural beauty found in the Fraser Valley with your loved ones! Have a conversation with your companion while taking in the gorgeous greenery and blooms, or simply enjoy your solitude in nature.
The trails found in the Fraser Valley tend to have limited elevation (say, compared to the North Shore) making them more accessible to most ages and levels of fitness. Some of our go-to’s? Check out Campbell Valley Regional Park, located in Langley near farmland, or Surrey’s Serpentine Fen Nature Trail; which winds you through a beautiful nature reserve. Another family favourite is the Aldergrove Regional Park, on the border of Abbotsford and Aldergrove.
Krause Berry Farms + Estate Winery
If you’ve followed us on social for awhile, you likely know this is one of our favourite seasonal activities! Nestled on a beautiful 200 acres, you’ll love spending an afternoon here – enjoy their U-Pick fields, or a plate of fresh hot waffles – and don’t forget to bring home some of their famous canned or jarred preserves! Their estate winery and restaurant is award-winning, and sure to delight with a great selection of berry wines and bites. Plus, their menus are developed from the fruits & vegetables grown right here on the farm!
